What do you do when your daughter starts to go stir crazy during SIP?!
A typical summer for us involves a trip out of the area and a trip to Monterey. However, with COVID-19 and so many restrictions in the places we would travel, we have opted to stay home and try to make the most of it.
Well, Serafina definitely takes after me with being the social one in the house. She loves to host and have people over and it has been hard that this isn't a typical summer for us with having BBQs, parties and sleepovers. Well, we decided she could invite her best friend for a movie night while social distancing.
About a month ago, Josh got the idea of building tents for the kids so they could social distance outside with friends. A few dowels, 1x2's, sheets and they are set!!

We have had an outdoor projector and screen since last Thanksgiving so we set up everything while the girls played charades and a few other board games. Josh got the fire pit fired up and I got the movie set up - the girls were good to go!

After making a few s'mores and losing a few marshmallows to the fire, the girls wanted to play a game with ME!!! I was COOL enough to hang out with two 10-year old girls and play a game. But, I ended up getting a splinter and tried to dig it out of my hand during the whole game. I also missed all the directions and rules to the game and had no idea what I was doing. Thankfully they were good sports and just laughed at me instead of getting frustrated.
When the sun finally set enough we put on "School of Rock" and enjoyed what felt like a normal summer night.
